Just a quick update have new inboard lined up

Halyard upgrades are done

Last Halyard installed

 three clutches at cabin top winch with fairleads

 temporary placement of organizer

mast exit box just fits the line

new mainsail and new halyards for fore and spin installed just need to replace sheave in mast exit box
to install the main halyard for cockpit control

Last splice they seem to get better each time. The splice is core to core 14 inches each side with the cover buried in the dyneema for additional 8 1/4 inches.

Had a 10' piece of 3/16 amsteel so what to do ... Soft shackles

Two short shackles with Diamond knot and one long heavy duty with button knot

Working on the boat today got to get the wiring for battery charging sorted out
good news it was a bad wire on the regulator now charging fine.

Why Mercury doesn't use tinned wire I'll never know.

New sailing season is upon us

Trips:

• planning to hit desolation sound this summer will be doing 3 weeks starting June 01

• Remove old diesel engine
• New Oak flooring in cabin
• halyard change out replacing wire / wire to rope with Dyneema and runner tails
• all halyards to cabin top
• foresail downhaul
